So what is a backyard wildlife Sanctuary?... It is a place for birds, squirrels, opossums, raccoons, deer, chipmonks, and any other living being. Wild plants and wild flowers, trees, bushes, and berms, that make great homes for our feathered and furry friends. 

     Who can make one of these Sanctuaries?... Everyone!!!! 

     We started ours many years ago and call it the Gentle Farmers Farm and Wild Life Sanctuary at the Lodge in Abington.

     It is so much fun feeding them and watering them and watching them eat... and eat...and eat... so hungry because their homes and food sources are disappearing at an alarming rate.

     At e-Awakening.com we believe that nature should be preserved and protected. Let the developers build on already compromised land where nature has already been destroyed. Why destroy any more. 

     Is it because we love to live in nature surrounded by nature. Is that the selling point? Maybe we should think ahead and protect and preseeve the bits of nature we have left in these already overcrowded suburban areas. Let’s sell the idea of protecting nature. Our ecosystems, watersheds and wetlands, our woods and forests. 

     What about turning our yards into places where nature can thrive. Places that connect with trails and woods and meadows and wetlands. A community of neighbors who care for the Earth and each other. Our world coud be one great and peaceful Sanctuary.
